Rock Solid Concepts

About Rock Solid Concepts

The old volcanic peaks march in a line from the edge of San Luis Obispo all the way out to Morro Rock, and Righetti Hill props up the east end of town like a paperweight. At noon the rock is hard and bright and the grass below it is the only soft thing in view. Rock Solid Concepts keeps that softness in order with mowing, edging, string trimming, feeding and cleanup, week in and week out. Around here a lawn is a made thing, coaxed out of dry serpentine country, and it holds its shape only because someone returns to it. The best moment is stepping back at the end: one flat green rectangle, edges ruled, the hill standing over it unchanged.
