A purlieu is the ground at the edge of a wood, and Reservoir Canyon east of San Luis Obispo is exactly that: oak giving way to grass, grass giving way to somebody's back lawn. Purlieu Landscapes works that boundary all year — mowing, edging, trimming, and the cleanups that matter most in October, when the oaks start dropping and leaves smother turf before anyone notices.
