Old Town Sharpening

About Old Town Sharpening

The old blocks below Buchon Street keep their Victorians, their deep porches and their small deliberate front lawns — and a small lawn shows every mistake a dull blade makes. Old Town Sharpening approaches lawn care from exactly that angle: a clean severed cut instead of a torn one, edges held true along walkways laid a century ago, trimming worked in close to fence posts and stone. Saturday mornings in that part of San Luis Obispo are quiet enough to hear a mower two streets over. Steady feeding and weed control through the growing months keep those compact yards dense, which is how they look best under the pepper trees. A modest lawn, kept properly, is a kind of good manners toward the whole street.
