About Dan's Landscaping Company

In autumn, San Luis Obispo Creek runs low and the leaves come down over the footbridges faster than anyone can keep up with. Dan's Landscaping Company keeps up with them — mowing while the grass still grows, clearing the fall off lawns and walkways, edging back the creeping green along the concrete. The town gets quieter this time of year, and the work turns more toward clearing than cutting. There's a plain, good feeling in a yard raked clean with the light going amber behind Cerro San Luis. Then the rain arrives and everything grows again.
