About Contour Landscape Architecture

San Luis Obispo is a town of grades — Cerro San Luis at your shoulder, streets that tilt, back yards that never quite decided to be flat. Contour Landscape Architecture mows those yards the way the ground actually lies, reading the slope and cutting across it so the finish is even from the top step to the back fence. Edges are held to a clean line where lawn meets path, and trimming squares up the awkward corners a sloped yard collects. The result is a piece of ground that finally looks intentional. That, and the smell of cut grass drifting downhill on a warm afternoon.
