About Turf World

By July, Washington Avenue runs between lawns that have already made up their minds — some still holding green, some gone the color of the hills behind town. What separates them is mostly cutting height, feeding at the right moment, and not letting the weeds take June. We keep a route through these neighborhoods: mowing, edging along the concrete, trimming the fence and post lines, clearing every walk before we pull away. The cooler months are for aeration, overseeding and the fall cleanups, when the rain does half the work for us. Grass is a simple thing that only answers to consistency, and we like that about it.
