About Suma Landscaping

By March the hills above San Leandro are as green as they will get all year, and the lawns down in the neighborhoods try to keep pace — growing fast, growing unevenly, wanting a cut sooner than anyone expects. That is our busy stretch: mowing on a tighter cycle, edging the walks, trimming the borders, staying ahead of the weeds while they are still soft and easy to take. As the ground dries toward summer we raise the blade, feed with care and let the grass shade its own roots. Autumn brings the leaf cleanups; the wet months bring aeration and overseeding. Around Thrasher Park you can tell in July which lawns got their spring right.
