About Onelawn

West of the tracks, out past Davis Street, San Leandro turns to wide roads and working blocks, and the strips of green between them get noticed most when they are let go. We keep them cut — mowing, edging along curbs and aprons, trimming whatever grows against fences and poles, controlling weeds before they take hold. The Bay wind comes through hard in the afternoon, so the walks get blown down last and the clippings leave with us rather than travelling down the street. Fertilizer in the growing months; aeration and overseeding once winter rain has softened everything up. A clean edge on a plain lawn says the place is being looked after.
