About Miesner Gardening

Downtown San Leandro still keeps its old bones: the tiled roof of Casa Peralta, the deep shade at Root Park, the small lawns of the houses set back behind them. Those yards are modest, and they reward attention — a level cut, a clean edge where turf meets brick, the trimmer taken around each fence post by hand. We run a mowing route through the neighborhood and add the seasonal work as it arrives: feeding, weed control, aeration and overseeding once the ground has softened, leaf cleanups when autumn turns. This is ground that has been tended a long while. We would like it to keep looking that way.
