About Graham Tree Services Inc

San Leandro wakes under a thin sheet of bay fog that lifts off the flatlands about the time the first ropes go up. The town grew out of cherry orchards, and old shade trees still lean over Estudillo Avenue and crowd in with the willows along San Leandro Creek — trees with decades of shape in them, which is what makes trimming and pruning a matter of reading before cutting. Tree removal comes down in sections, rigged and lowered, so a fence line and a driveway are both still there afterward. When a winter front pushes in off the bay and lays a limb across a walkway, storm damage cleanup means the yard is usable again before the light goes. The good part of the day is the look back from the truck: clean cuts, concrete swept, a tree that reads like nobody touched it.
