About Medina Landscaping

March turns the foothills above Alum Rock green almost overnight, and Penitencia Creek runs loud enough to hear from the road. Down in the neighborhoods below the park, Medina Landscaping is mowing in earnest again — grass that sat still all winter now wants a weekly hand. The work is plain and it is satisfying: an even cut, edges walked, hedges trimmed back off the fence line, leaves and clippings carried away instead of stacked in a corner. Sprinkler heads get a look while the beds are still soft, before the dry months make every missed spray obvious. By June the hills will be gold, and a kept lawn will be the green thing left.
