LandCare

About LandCare

The first light rail car of the morning runs up North First past medians that were already mowed before anyone saw them. LandCare takes the grounds along that corridor — turf cut and striped, walkways edged, hedges held to a line, weeds kept out of every seam and planter. Campus lawns get judged in the ten seconds between a parking space and a lobby door, so the standard is evenness: same height, same border, nothing left on the concrete. Feeding, aeration and overseeding run on their own quiet calendar through the wet months, when the valley does most of its growing. By eight the crews have moved on and the place simply looks like it takes care of itself.
