Snow-Away

About Snow-Away

Snow is a rare visitor to San Jose, more often seen as a white dusting on Mount Hamilton, where the domes of Lick Observatory sit high above the valley, than on a city driveway. But cold winter storms do sweep through, and when one leaves snow behind, Snow-Away is the snow removal service for that kind of morning. Driveways are cleared, walks and steps are shoveled open, and the path from the front door to the street is made passable again. In a city that so seldom needs it, a cleared, dark driveway against a white yard is a sight worth stopping for. Then the sun returns, the valley warms, and the snow becomes a story people tell for a while.
