About Rock & Rose Landscapes

Corona Heights shows the city its red rock in the raw, and roses do just fine on the sheltered side of the same hill — the name holds both halves of what this work is. Rock & Rose Landscapes mows and tends lawns on the steep blocks near Buena Vista Park, where a yard might be three levels held up by stone. Grass on a pitch needs a careful hand and a straight eye, and the edge along a retaining wall is where the whole job gets judged. Late spring mornings are the good ones here: sun over the ridge, the trees still cool, the ground holding a little damp. When the mowing is finished and the borders are trimmed, a terrace starts to read like a room.
