About Oakdale Landscaping

The Portola still shows its old greenhouse bones — long flat lots, warm southern slopes, blocks that were raising flowers for the city long before they were raising lawns. Oakdale Landscaping mows and keeps yards in that neighborhood and along the ridges near McLaren Park, where the open hillsides go tawny by August. Midday is the working hour up here, since the fog usually stalls somewhere west and leaves the southeast in plain sunlight. Edging along a driveway that climbs takes patience, and the payoff is the first look back down at a line that holds true. After the winter rains the lawns come in thick, and the mower earns its keep every single week.
