About Gerardo Mariona

One truck, one set of tools, one yard at a time. Gerardo Mariona works the streets under Buena Vista and around Cole Valley, starting early while the eucalyptus on the hill is still dripping fog onto the sidewalk: mowing, edging, trimming hedges and shrubs, weeding and turning beds, clearing leaves and hauling them off. Working alone means the whole yard is one person's account of itself — the border, the corner behind the stairs, the sweep at the end. Those hill neighborhoods are all short lawns and steep front gardens, and they look their best when someone has been thorough about them. Garden and lawn care in central San Francisco.
