Del Mar Landscapes

About Del Mar Landscapes

In autumn the San Dieguito lagoon goes still and the light over Del Mar turns long and amber by four in the afternoon. Del Mar Landscapes works the bluff streets and the Carmel Valley lawns through that season — mowing, edging, shaping hedges, and clearing the leaf drop the ocean wind lays across every walk. Yards this close to the water want a light hand and a regular one. The finish worth chasing is a lawn that looks composed from the street: even color, a drawn edge, nothing spilling onto the concrete. When the sun goes into the water off Torrey Pines, the yard should look like part of the scene.
