About Harbor Landscaping

The early train runs the sand below North Beach, gulls lift off the pier pilings, and the day's first lawns in San Clemente get cut while the air is still cool and heavy with salt. Harbor Landscaping keeps the yards nearest the water, where spray browns the tips of anything unprepared and sandy soil drains faster than a gardener would like. Mowing and edging make up the daily rhythm, along with trimming, bed weeding and planting the tough coastal material that shrugs off wind. There is real pleasure in a small beach-town yard done right — a tight edge along the sidewalk, a hedge holding its line, the sound of a blower fading as the marine gray finally lifts near ten. Close to the ocean, keeping things green is a deliberate act, and this is the crew that repeats it.
