Lawn Ranger

About Lawn Ranger

Late summer builds thunderheads over the high country east of town, huge and slow, and they drift west over the flats toward Rialto trailing a smell of rain that mostly never lands. Lawn Ranger works those west-side blocks in the muggy hours before the sky decides, cutting grass, drawing edges, trimming back what has gotten ahead of itself. Weeds come out of the beds and the gravel, the mower height gets adjusted for the humidity, and every walk is swept before the truck moves on. Yards out here take the full force of the sun for months, so consistency is what carries them through. A lawn that still looks even and intentional in September has been visited, on purpose, all summer long.
