About Grass Monkey Landscape and Development

Out past Glen Helen the Cajon Wash lies open to the sky — cobble, cottonwood, and a wind that never quite settles. Grass Monkey Landscape and Development is comfortable with ground that has not decided what it is yet: bare dirt graded and shaped, irrigation run, sod set down, borders drawn where there were none. Then comes the long part, which is keeping it — mowing, edging, trimming, feeding the lawn, pulling the weeds that try to reclaim it. Watching a blank rectangle of a yard turn into something a family actually walks out into is the payoff, and it never gets old. In a valley this dry, a lawn is something you build and then look after, and this outfit does both halves.
