Mountain Valley Tree Service

About Mountain Valley Tree Service

Salinas wakes under fog off Monterey Bay and burns clear by mid-morning, and by two o'clock the wind is running up the valley hard enough to bend a young tree. Mountain Valley Tree Service prunes and trims through the neighborhoods between the Gabilan foothills and the Salinas River, where valley oaks predate the streets and the newer plantings fight that afternoon push. Trimming here is about giving the wind somewhere to go; pruning is about training a young canopy before it learns a bad habit. When a limb drops across a fence in a winter storm, it gets cut up, hauled off, and the ground raked back to green. Removal is the last call, made when a trunk has gone soft at the base and the lean has stopped being charming.
