About Delgado Landscaping

Spreckels sits just south of town with its straight streets and its rows of old shade trees, a company town turned quiet neighborhood, where evenings come on slow and blue. Delgado Landscaping keeps yards in that pocket of the valley and across Salinas: weekly lawn cutting, edged walkways, shaped hedges, weeded beds and a yard cleared of everything the work knocks loose. Winter rain does the growing, summer irrigation does the rest, and the crew works around both. A small property gets the same pass as a big one. Dusk on a freshly mowed lawn, sprinklers just starting, is as good a picture of a finished day as this valley offers.
