About Ayala's Landscaping Service

The Salinas River runs mostly underground and mostly out of sight, but its cottonwoods and willows give the town away, greening up along the whole channel in March. Ayala's Landscaping Service takes its cue from that season, when everything on a property wants to grow in every direction at once. Weekly cuts, edged walkways, trimmed hedges, pulled weeds and a cleared-out yard keep the wildness on the useful side of the fence. Spring here is short and generous; by June the valley is dry and the job becomes watering well and cutting at the right height. Either way the mower goes home to a lawn that looks like it was always meant to be that way.
