About Jose Gardening Services

Late spring drops a purple carpet across parts of Rosemead when the jacarandas bloom, and Jose Gardening Services is out underneath them, keeping the yards below as composed as the canopy above. Much of the work here is close and careful — compact front lawns, narrow side yards, hedges that frame a porch — the kind of gardening done as much with hand tools as with machines. Mowing, trimming, sweeping the petals from a fresh-cut lawn, tending the beds along the fence line. In the soft light after dinner, when the San Gabriel Valley finally cools, those small green spaces are where the neighborhood actually lives, and Jose treats each one that way.
