Num's Lawn Care

About Num's Lawn Care

June arrives in Canyon Crest under a gray lid, the marine layer pushing inland overnight and hanging on the slope until mid-morning. Num's Lawn Care likes those hours: the turf is damp, the light is soft, and the blades cut cleanly without wilting behind the machine. By the time the gloom burns off the Box Springs Mountains, the yards along the hill roads are already mowed, edged and swept. It is a quiet sort of pride — arriving before a street is awake and leaving nothing behind but stripes and the smell of cut grass. Lawn care in Riverside kept on the schedule the grass sets, not the one the calendar suggests.
