About Marroquin's Landscaping & Maintenance Services Inc.

Along Victoria Avenue the eucalyptus windbreaks still stand in long ranks, and the citrus rows behind them measure Riverside in straight green lines. Marroquin's Landscaping & Maintenance Services Inc. works that same geometry into the city's front yards — mowing, edging, trimming and cleanup done so a lawn ends exactly where it is supposed to end. Their mornings begin while the inland air is still cool enough to hold dew on the blades, before the heat rises off the valley flats. There is a plain pleasure in it: a strip of grass squared to the walk, clippings gone, hedges brought back to a line. It is ordinary maintenance, kept up until a whole street reads as looked after.
