Lawngods

About Lawngods

The C on the face of Box Springs catches the last of the light most evenings, and by then the mowers have gone quiet and the lawns are wearing their stripes. Lawngods works the part of this trade that sits closest to craft — mowing at a set height and direction so the grass lays into lines, edging cut in tight along walks and beds, trimming, hedges squared, blow-downs that leave concrete clean enough to notice. Fescue and Bermuda both grow in this valley, each with strong opinions about heat, and matching the cut to the grass is most of the game. Riverside hands a lawn a long season in which to look good. A yard showing its lines at dusk earned them all week.
