About Avalon Services

Morning in Point Richmond comes in sideways, fog pressing through the tunnel before the shops on Washington Avenue have turned their signs around. Avalon Services keeps lawns on those hillside blocks, where a yard can fall away in three terraces and every one of them still wants a straight, even cut. The work runs in order — mow, edge, trim the borders, then clear the clippings off the walk so nothing tracks indoors. By the time the gray lifts off the water, the turf is banded, the edges read like a drawn line, and a small lot looks like someone stood over it. That is the whole point of the trade here: grass that looks sharp from the street and feels soft underfoot.
