Inland Empire Greenscapes

About Inland Empire Greenscapes

From the flats along Slover Avenue you can take in the whole shape of the Inland Empire at once — warehouse roofs, freight lines, and behind all of it the blue wall of the San Bernardinos. Inland Empire Greenscapes keeps green alive in that hard-edged landscape, mowing lawns, edging walks, trimming shrubs and clearing the yard waste that gathers between visits. Noon in July is a furnace out here, so the work runs early and the watering runs deep and infrequent, before sunup. Grass cut at the right height shades its own roots and holds color when its neighbors have given up. A tight strip of green against all that concrete is worth more than it looks.
