About Anderson’s landscaping

Every June the jacarandas along Brookside Avenue drop their purple over everything — sidewalks, hedges, the good lawn you cut two days ago — and somebody has to make sense of it. Anderson's landscaping works that seam between a Redlands yard and the weather that lands on it: mowing, trimming, shaping shrubs back, weeding and clearing beds so the color reads as color instead of clutter. The old houses on this side of town were built with wide lawns and deep porches, and a lawn like that only looks right when its edges are held. Yards get left with the turf even, the hedge lines true, and the walk swept from step to curb. The purple keeps falling; the yard keeps looking cared for anyway.
