Garden Life Xeriscapes

About Garden Life Xeriscapes

Walk the edge of the North Etiwanda Preserve and the chaparral tells you plainly what wants to live here: sage, buckwheat, boulders, decomposed granite, silver leaves turned edgewise against the sun. Garden Life Xeriscapes brings that vocabulary down into the yards below through drought-adapted planting, gravel and mulch work, bed shaping, trimming and ongoing garden upkeep. A xeriscape is not an empty yard, it is a yard built from texture and shadow, with gravel raked into clean lines. Where the rain arrives in a handful of winter weeks, a garden designed for that rhythm looks right in every month of the year. The hills above are the reference, and the yards below can hold their own beside them.
