About Outdoor Living Landscapes

The best hour in a Rancho Cordova backyard is the last one — light coming sideways under a valley oak, the lawn cooling, somebody about to carry plates outside. Outdoor Living Landscapes tends the ground that hour depends on: grass mown even, edges defined around patio and path, shrubs kept from swallowing the seating. Weed control and fertilizer are timed so the turf stays soft underfoot through a long dry summer, and sprinklers are adjusted as the sun angle changes. In fall the leaves come off before they stain the concrete, and the beds are cleared for the rains. A yard people actually use is worth the upkeep it asks for.
