About The Ramona Gardener

October in Ramona cools off fast after sundown, the sycamores down at Dos Picos begin to turn, and the garden finally stops fighting the heat. The Ramona Gardener works in that easier season and in every other one — mowing, pruning, weeding, planting and feeding beds, keeping lawns trimmed and tidy right through the year. It is hands-in-the-dirt work, measured one yard at a time rather than by the mile. What comes of it is a garden that looks tended rather than merely maintained, which anyone can see from the gate. Gardening and lawn care for Ramona and the roads that run out from it.
