About Ray’s Home Services

Poway Creek runs thin through most of the year, and the sycamores along it hold their shade close, the way everything in this valley learns to hold water. Ray's Home Services keeps home lawns in shape around town — mowing on a rhythm, edging the walks, trimming the fence lines and carrying the cuttings away. The cut height rises as the heat builds so the turf can shade its own roots, then comes back down when the winter storms green the whole valley at once. There is a quiet pride in a small front yard that looks looked-after on a Wednesday, for no occasion at all. That, mostly, is the work, and it is also most of the reward.
