O'Neal Lawn Services

About O'Neal Lawn Services

Out by the municipal airport the light comes in flat across open ground and the windsock hangs dead still most summer mornings — the calm hour before the valley heat organizes itself. O'Neal Lawn Services is already working by then, mowing, edging and trimming while the grass is cool and cuts clean. Each yard ends the same way: walks blown off, drive cleared, the border traced sharp enough to see from across the street. Porterville's season runs long, so the route runs long with it, week after week. Getting the ordinary thing right, every time, is the ambition.
