Morales Tree Gardening

About Morales Tree Gardening

Half the older yards in Port Hueneme still keep a lemon or an avocado in the back corner, planted back when this was farm country's front door. Morales Tree Gardening prunes those in late winter — opening the canopy, taking out crossed limbs, shaping the ornamentals — then spends the rest of the year down in the garden itself. Mowing, bed work, trimming, planting, weeding, cleanup: gardening in the full sense, tree and ground treated as one thing. A well-pruned tree and a clean bed beneath it belong to the same picture, and neither one finishes the story alone. The fruit even tastes better once the branch has room.
