Garden Awakenings

About Garden Awakenings

This valley was orchards once, and something of that still shows in February, when the whole place greens up at once after a wet week. Garden Awakenings works that turn of the year — cutting back winter growth, weeding the beds, mowing the first flush of grass, shaping shrubs so they enter spring with room to move. Bringing a tired yard back around is the most satisfying job on the list. In Pomona it happens fast, and it happens for whoever gets there in time.
