Each winter, when the rains swell Lagunitas Creek, coho salmon run up from Tomales Bay toward shaded gravel beds far upstream. It ranks among the great returns of the West Marin year, and it comes in the same gray, dripping months when yards in Point Reyes Station grow soggy and littered with storm debris. Jairo's Hauling Service keeps up with local lawns through it all, mowing between storms, trimming edges and clearing away fallen branches and leaf litter after wind and rain. When the clouds finally part and the creek runs clear again, a cleaned-up lawn looks rinsed and new. It is grounded, practical work that helps a home come through the wet season in good shape.
