About J. Dicus Landscape Design & Construction

Every property around here has an opinion about water, and February is when it tells you: where the runoff wants to travel, where it pools against a foundation, which slope below Augustin Bernal gives up its soil first. J. Dicus Landscape Design & Construction begins with that shape of the ground, because grade and drainage decide whether a patio still looks right in its fifth winter. From there it becomes building: walls that hold a hillside, walkways that take you somewhere sensible, a sitting area sized for the way a family actually uses evenings. Planting, irrigation and lawn go in last, once the bones are set and the water has been told where to go. A finished yard should feel less like decoration and more like part of the land it sits on.
