About Watkins Forestry Services

Winter storms leave their signature on Pollock Pines: limbs down across drives, drifts of broken green scattered over buried lawns. Watkins Forestry Services works the boundary where the yards end and the timber begins — clearing storm debris, cutting back the brush that creeps in from the treeline, keeping the forest a neighbor rather than a tenant. When the snow draws back in spring, there are lawns to revive and edges to reclaim, and the rounds of mowing carry through until the needles fall again. It is outdoor work in the fullest sense, done in weather, among big trees. The reward is a homestead that sits easy inside the woods instead of losing ground to them.
