About Phelan Good Firewood & Tractor Services

January nights up here go clear and hard, stars all the way down to the horizon, and the woodstove does the real work of keeping a house together. Phelan Good Firewood & Tractor Services keeps that going — firewood cut, split, stacked and delivered by the load, dry and ready to burn. The rest of the year the tractor earns its keep: discing weeds down before the hot months, clearing brush and lots, grading, and hauling off whatever a parcel has quietly collected. It is dusty, straightforward work with a straightforward result — a cleared property in the spring, a full woodpile by the door come fall. Both of them are just ways of getting a place ready for what's coming next.
