About Paek's Landscaping / A1 Construction Co.

A new lot in Phelan starts as bare granite sand, a few stakes and a string line, with the mountains standing behind it and nothing in between. Paek's Landscaping / A1 Construction Co. turns that into a yard — grading and layout first, then block walls and concrete flatwork, irrigation run before anything goes in the ground, then planting, rock and lawn laid over the top of it. Building on this soil means thinking about wind and drainage ahead of decoration, so the bones go in right and the pretty part lasts past its first summer. Maintenance follows once it takes hold, keeping the mowing, trimming and beds on a schedule. The satisfaction is watching a blank piece of desert become a place where a family sits outside in the evening.
