Monkeys tree service

About Monkeys tree service

When the Santa Anas come down through Cajon Pass at night, Phelan lies awake to the sound of them working on the trees. Monkeys tree service is who the morning belongs to — the split limb hung over a roofline, the pine leaning the wrong direction, the whole tangle that has to come down before the next blow arrives. Climbing, trimming, removals, stump work and hauling the mess out, all in an order that keeps weight off the fence and the truck. There is genuine craft in it: rigging a heavy limb so it lands exactly where the ground crew is standing ready for it, and nowhere else. By afternoon the wind's damage is firewood and a pile of chips, and the yard looks like nothing ever happened there.
