ASV Tree Service

About ASV Tree Service

At midday the light over Sheep Creek Wash goes flat and white, and the junipers along the sandy banks hold the only real shade for a mile. ASV Tree Service works in that shade — trimming, thinning and taking down trees across Phelan and the mesa above it, then clearing the limbs so a yard reads open again. Out here a tree is something a household chose and carried water to, so every cut is made with the shape of the next ten years in mind. Crews rake down to the bare decomposed granite before they leave, and the ground under a finished pine looks swept. The reward is the walk back to the truck, when a yard that was crowded at sunrise stands wide to the sky.
