About Ray's Garden Service

The city takes its name from El Palo Alto, the tall old coast redwood still standing beside San Francisquito Creek, and Palo Alto has never lost its feeling for trees. Along the older streets near downtown, oaks and sycamores arch over the sidewalks and let go a slow confetti of leaves each November. Ray's Garden Service keeps the gardens beneath that canopy, raking up the fall, mowing, trimming hedges, and holding beds and borders in order. When the winter rains finally arrive and the creek starts to run, a tidy garden glistens under those big trees as if it had just been set out. Everyday garden care, in a town that has always loved what grows.
