About Evergreen Landscaping & Gardening Maintenance

July in Palo Alto is rainless by design — the sky simply stops — and the great valley oaks of the older streets throw the only free shade in town. Evergreen Landscaping & Gardening Maintenance takes its name as a job description: keeping gardens green through the long dry, and handsome through the brief wet. That means smart mowing heights in the heat, beds mulched deep to hold their moisture, pruning timed to the plant instead of the calendar. Under an oak's canopy the light falls in coins, and a tended garden gathers it beautifully. The dry season ends every year; a well-kept garden never has to show that it noticed.
