About CF Landscaping Design

In the Eichler blocks of south Palo Alto, the houses are all lines — flat roofs, glass walls, courtyards that pull the garden indoors — and CF Landscaping Design treats the yard as part of the architecture. A lawn here is a plane of green light; a hedge is a wall you can smell. The design work plans it and the maintenance keeps it: turf cut to an even nap, borders held to their geometry, plantings chosen so the composition holds in January as well as June. Palo Alto's mild sky makes an honest canvas, rarely too hot, rarely truly cold. On it, a well-drawn garden reads clearly from the street, the sidewalk, and the kitchen window all at once.
