About Gurr Land Management Services

There is a week in early June, out past Cherokee Road, when the annual grass turns from green to straw almost between one morning and the next, and the acreage lots around Oroville suddenly need cutting all at once. Gurr Land Management Services works at that scale — big grass knocked down, star thistle and foxtail mowed off before they take a field, fence lines and drive edges cut back to a clean line. Smaller yards get the same treatment in miniature: mowing, edging, trimming, and the debris carried off rather than piled. Standing at a gate looking across a parcel that was chest-high that morning and is level and open by evening is a particular kind of good day. The oaks look taller once the ground beneath them is clear.
