Clear Cut Landscapes

About Clear Cut Landscapes

By mid-July the afternoons off Madison Avenue run past a hundred degrees, and the only sane hours to be outside are the early one and the late one. Clear Cut Landscapes takes the early one — mowing, edging, hedge and shrub trimming, walks blown clean before the heat settles in for the day. The name is the whole idea: a straight line where lawn meets concrete, a hedge squared to the eye, nothing left ragged at the corners. When the delta breeze comes up in the evening and people finally step outside, the yard is waiting for them, tight and even. Weekly and biweekly routes hold that line through the long dry stretch of a valley summer.
