About Aj Services

Winter mornings in Orangevale arrive under tule fog, the kind that lies low over Greenback Lane until the sun burns a hole through it around ten. Aj Services is out in it early, mowers loaded, working the lawns of a town that still measures itself in half-acre lots and old avenue names. The work is mowing, edging, string trimming and seasonal cleanup — plain words for the pleasure of a yard that reads well from the street. There is a particular satisfaction in the first cut after the winter rain, when the grass has come up thick and the line along the walk goes sharp again. By the time the fog lifts, the lawn is finished and the truck is two streets over.
